Dust cover?

My FM9 lives on my studio desk, and I'm wondering if I should bother with a dust cover of some kind, preferably one with an open back for all the cables. Any reason not to get one? And if it's worth getting, any recos?

I can't think of any reason not to get one other than the fact that the FM9 looks so cool I wouldn't want to cover it up! I have my guitars hanging on the wall and my mixer out there too because I love how this gear looks as well as how it sounds. People stop by my studio and see my stuff and tell it all looks amazing ... not so much with covers and cases hiding things. IMHO.

I have one for my FM3, and I'd recommend some sort of cover. I bought mine here: https://bestampcovers.com. It has the cutout in the back for cables. They don't have one for the FM9 specifically but you can custom order sizes.

I just use a hand towel for my FC12 dustcover.

Whatever you use, don’t block the ventilation ducts on the sides when it’s running.
