Dumping banks into FX8 via legacy midi with 3rd party utility

Long story but fractal bot does not work on my old pc machine. I do firmware updates and bank dumps to the FX8 the old way, 5 pin midi and midi ox. It's slow but works. When doing a bank dump to the fx8 there is no bank transfer in progress bar on the fx8. midi ox just finishes. But it appears to work correctly as all presets have been replaced. The fx8 manual is silent on any legacy midi method. Does anybody else do this?

I just want to make sure this method works completely. firmware updates give a progress bar and the correct firmware is displayed in fx8 but no progress bar on bank dumps.
 
there were never progress bars for preset or bank dumps on Axe-Fx devices, so my best guess is if you send it and it's there, it worked.
 
Thanks Chris. Page 148 of the Axe FX II manual says a bank dump to the axe fx II shows a "bank transfer in progress bar" when performing a bank dump through any midi method. I don't own an AXE FX II so I wasn't sure.
