Hello guys !
Few months ago my band recorded and released a live in studio. I just mixed and edited a drum and bass only version of one track.
Bass was recorded DI (just like guitars in the full version), and reamped later with the Axe-FX II.
I feel like not many people dial in bass tones that way, so I'll just put it here : no amp block, no cab block. Only multiband compression, drive block, and some post-processing in Cubase ! I nearly never use amp/cab sims when dialing in bass tones, doesn't matter if it's for rock, metal, funk, soul...
