Matteo described the technique as a "rest stroke" technique, much like how bassists use their overhand fingerstyle. However, his 2nd technique (which I'd need to review) was described as a curled hand "classical" picking style. The combination of the two, (plus some darned decent outside-the-box chops) makes for a enjoyable listen.It always reminded me of a bassist approach and that's what he says.
