Don't Listen to Rock Musicians

Everybody's still trying to sound like them, too.

Yes, but it was in the fingers rather than in the digital domain. I Love the latter but are aware that music is much, much more. Out-of tune?? All-right if you just dance your fingers on the frets so that the audience loves you. Crappy sound ... if the half-stack is burning so what. If you and the crowd are happy that's it.

Still love my Axe (and change strings frequently).

In my eyes the Boston tone is one of the best ever. And the X100 units that Tom Scholz and his R&D team developed reproduced his awesome tones for others to use. ZZ Top, Def Leppard (Hysteria), Huey Lewis, Don Henley, and many others used these tones to help sell their music to millions of fans. I have 2 X100 headphone amps and they have what I would consider one of the best chorus sounds of all time. Not bitching, just love what Boston created and shared with all of us!!! If you have never seen one of them check it out http://www.rockman.fr/Reviews/Rockman.htm
He sold the rights to Dunlop in the 90's and from what I have heard the newer units which still carry the Tom Scholz name are garbage. Gotta have one from the 80's! Here is a sound sample (Not the greatest guitarist), but shows some of the cool tones! Not as great and versatile as the Axe Fx, but fun to play around with! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fy2ZdTPxzAI

What is this Boston? I just listened to Backstreet Boys.

I don't care who you are,
where you're from,
what you did,
as long as you love me.

And I love that band. That's real rock'n'roll... not Boston... what a stupid name. BSB forever!
