Do I need to update my USB Driver?

I am running Win 7 and have AFX USB Driver 1.67. This is running seamlessly using just Axe-Edit, but will probably be recording with Cubase or Reaper soon. A year ago, I originally had a heck of a time installing this driver so am a bit hesitant to update to avoid the same challenges I had the first time around. So, my question is whether it is critical that I update this driver to v2014.06.06 now? (I am updating FW from 13.02 to 17.02)?

I only recently upgraded since I had some USB communication issues with my DAW, but if you don't have any problem, no need upgrade I would say
