These colorful magical firmwares just seem to pop-up from nowhere every month or two

That would be fun - "put this amp in this spot, then two delays of this type then this cabinet - play 'freebird' 2x at 110 BPM and voila! The unit starts playing Gershwin with Cliff singing the names of the AFX dev team!"

Having written two easter eggs for large products - its great fun to work on.

Yes it does! It happens as soon as you power the unit up. Maybe not hidden or humorous, but certainly delightful.

If you hold down the LAYOUT GLOBAL and RECALL keys at the same time, you can play Tetris with the NAV buttons.

If you lose, the fan blade pops out and decapitates you!

When I first got the Ultra, I plugged it into a stereo headphone amp and it sounded amazing. I giggled for hours at that one.

There used to be a "hidden" page on the Ultra. Can't remember exactly what it did. But essentially, it said "Don't mess with this page". Some people did anyway. Something about curiosity and a cat...
