Distortion Gone?

Axe-Fx II original, all of a sudden, my presets that had distortion don't sound distorted. They instead have what sounds like a flat low-mid boost. It sucks. What could be the cause?

Is the bypass button pressed?

If it's affecting all presets, look for a global parameter that reduces the input to the amp block. For example, Amp Gain. Or maybe you've done something between your guitar and the Axe-FX to reduce the input gain.

Some presets have some distortion, but not like they should. Most presets that should have distortion have none.

Bad cable or dead guitar battery.

Try the rear panel input. It might be a bad connection between the front panel input board and the main board.

I did not know there was a rear input! I tried it, but that input doesn't work at all.

You have to set Input 1 Left Select to Rear in the I/O menu to use the rear panel Input 1 Left jack.

Turns out, it was the cable.
