So, I'd like to use the digital I/O on the Axe-Fx Ultra and my iMac.
The Axe has RCA coax ports, and the iMac has 3.5MM optical...
If anyone's successfully made this connection, I'd appreciate any advice as to the appropriate cabling and adapters.
I've been guessing and netsurfing and came up with this:
M-Audio CO2 - Coaxial/Optical Bi-Directional Converter
http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/CO2-main.html
2 Toslink to 3.5mm Optical Plug cables
http://www.amazon.com/3-5MM-TOSLINK-FIBER-OPTIC-CABLE-TOSLINK/dp/B00006LVF3
2 RCA <> RCA digital coax cables
http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-PureAV-AV20100-03-Digital-Coaxial/dp/B0001XGQKY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8
which looks like it would do the deed, but seems a bit complex and pricey.
If anyone has a simpler, better, cheaper solution, especially one that they've actually used and proved, then please clue me in.
TIA
