Dialing in a warm jazzy clean lead tone

I'm looking for suggestions on setting up a sound for this. I'm using an evh 5153, I've got channel one set to as clean as possible, or I could use channel two which is set to just at break up. Looking for eq and or drive and compression ideas. Also, what is common for effects? Slapback? I'm not really chasing a specific tone, just something warm and fat and clean that sounds good for chords as well as single note stuff.

Use neck pickup with compression, mild reverb and possibly an EQ block to warm things up bumping up the low mid and dialing down the highs. That will get you in basic ballpark.

Prince Tone or many of the other Fender amps.

I like the JTM45.

This is for the FX8. It has no amp modeling. Or were you referring to real amps to use?

I used to take my Jackson Rhoads with a rising sun paint job to play traditional jazz. They stopped making fun of it when they heard it. Great sounding guitar.
