I've been trying to make the jump to FRFR- at least partially. I've found a couple of IR mixes that didn't make me want to put the guitar down but I continue to pursue my sound.
I decided to record a little clambake as a placeholder for where I am now. Axe-II, Friedman BE, cab mix, dry as dirt.
I'm open to comments and suggestions for how this sort of sound translates, how you think it would work in a band context, etc... I'm assuming that it may have too much low end for a mix situation, despite low-cutting at ~80hz
I swear it seems to be a little brighter when I'm playing as compared to the wav recording via USB but it must be psychoacoustic.
