Deluxe Reverb UR (Take 2)

I dusted off my old Deluxe Reverb and tried my hand at shooting some IRs of it again, and the results are much better this time around. As a bonus, I was lucky enough to borrow a Royer 121 for the shoot, and it sounded as good as its pricetag.

Mics used:
Royer 121
Carvin M67 (similar to Shure SM57)
Carvin CTM100 (a poor man's Neumann UM57, large diaphram tube condenser set to a cardioid pattern)

I used my Carvin XP800L mixer for its solid state power amp, and ran the mics through an ART tube mic pre.

The Royer has the biggest sound of all of them (almost too big). I shot the cap, cone, and edge up close, and also the cone from 6" and 12" away. The further shots are very bright and thin, and sound good mixed in with a fuller, bassier sounding IR.

I also did a couple mixes with the new Beatle cab that Cliff gave us. He was kind enough to supply me with the .IR file to do the mixing. My favorites are the R121 Cap 0" and the three mixes.

Here's a ZIP file of all of the captures in II and XL syx, plus IR.
