CS MIDI to switch Metronome on and off

I see that someone got this working in this thread so I know it works and must be something I am doing wrong. Anyone see anything obvious I am missing?

So here is what I have set up:
  1. Set up the target CC# for the Metronome1769282056838.png
  2. Set up a Control Switch in FC-Edit1769282079431.png
  3. Set up CS MIDI for that control switch

MIDI cabling setup is just (Checked out all cabling with a multimeter to make the wiring was not the issue)
  • FM9 MIDI Out -> WIDI Thru 6 BT
  • WIDI Thru 6 BT -> FM9 MIDI In
Wired MIDI Thru is enabled on the WDI Thru 6 BT so it should just be working as a basic jumper

As a quick test I set up the exact same thing to toggle the amp on and off and it works as expected so it seems like this is specific to the Metronome. Does this even work on the FM9 or just the AxeIII? I do have it set up and working on the Axe (I could be forgetting a step I did though).

Not at my gear so just trying to be helpful... I'd try experimenting with the on/off values.

There have been a few people reporting FM9 metronome toggle via midi not working on FM9 with the latest firmware.

I haven't tried it yet to confirm.

I already wrote in the firmware 11 beta thread that MIDI switching isn't working for me. I tried two controllers, one sends 64, the other 127, and FM9 doesn't accept either of them for switching the metronome. I think this should be filed as a bug topic.

 
I'm trying to get this working right now.

Too bad the Metronome On/Off switch does not have a modifier for easy assignment.
I want to be able to long press a switch and have it come on and off.

Even better if the volume is set globally across all presets, and the Looper doesn't "hear" the metronome.
 
I ended up putting my RC-5 pedal on the board and wiring into the output going to my in ears and it is working a lot better for me than the built in metronome would have. Tempo is synced with MIDI clock and it is working great!
