Crackling sound when recording on Ableton Live 9?????

Hey guys,

I recently got Ableton Live 9. Playing on tracks with a bass via my Axe FX II leads to impromptu cracking sounds that are quite bad. It will sound good for a while and then the cracks come in (i.e. no continuous but still annoying) then go away..

Any idea what's happening?

Most likely the buffer settings inside Ableton Live are less than they should be, and OR the AISO drivers are not being used or need to be updated. If you set your latency too little/fast for your systems specs, then this also can cause crackling in the audio because the buffers are too small. Play with those and see if that helps...

Try what he said, you might be experiencing drop outs.

Are you recording digitally ? If so, it sounds like a clocking issue...
