Couple of questions - Help much appreciated

I'm currently running out of the ultra using the unbalanced output 1 via 2 TRS jacks.
Would it be worthwhile investing in some xlr cables to use the balanced outputs? i.e. is there any noticable advantage using the balanced outputs to the unbalanced?
(they will be going into my audio interface, and then onto my monitors, but might cut out the interface soon)

And secondly, really noobie question, what type of xlr would i need female to 1/4" jack or male to 1/4" jack? (cannot use a standard xlr to xlr)

FWIW, the jacks on the unbalanced outs of the Axe-fx are TS not TRS.

Noise reduction, stronger output signal, and the ability to run longer cables runs are the advantage of running balanced.

You would need an XLR female to 1/4" TRS male cable. Or an XLR female to female 1/4" TRS adapter.
