Connecting and axe fx to a recording interface

Hello everyone after many years of of manually tabbing and writing out my ideas. I've decided to start recording them. I tried pro tools years ago and very quickly found out I wasted a shit ton of money on a dust collector. I just wanna recording my improvisations with my ez drummer and ez keys. How do you have your axe fx hooked up to your interface. Is there one method? Or is there several... I have no desire to mike cabs or re-amp!
I'm wanna use garage band! Also I'm open to recommendations on rack interfaces.

If it's an Axe-Fx II, it has a built in interface, no external needed. Install the USB driver to your computer, then connect your axe via USB cable to your computer, then select it as audio device in GarageBand. You will need to plug speakers or headphones into the Axe itself - you can't use the computer speakers or outputs while using the Axe as the audio device.

If you want to use an external interface, connect 1/4" or XLR cables to the interface - 1 for mono or 2 for stereo. Done.
