CONFIGURATION QUESTION

can anyone give me some advice on which of the two stereo configurations can be realized with the AX8?

I don't use it like this, but from what I have read in the manual (Check pages 57 & 58 here: http://www.fractalaudio.com/downloads/manuals/AX8/AX8-Owners-Manual.pdf ) it appears that either configuration is possible with the FX loop block and/or output routing set properly.

Hopefully one of our amp/cab experts will wander in and educate us properly!

I was looking at this earlier and wondered about sanero #1 using two amp configs with the effects loop would have to be in a L/R config. using a mixing or volume block to pan or mute either side?

That's a lot of work... are you planning to mic each amp and leverage it's character or go to FOH via XLR? Or are you going back line only with no consideration for FOH? (or maybe a little bit of both?)

That's definitely not a grab and go setup. (not saying anything about how it'll sound.. but it ain't "poratable")

Cool.. I thought you might be lugging around a pair of Mesa Lonestar 2x12s or something... you know how some guys are...

i think both are possible.

can you describe what you want from each rig? AX8 as effects only? etc.

the only real difference is the ability to overlap the AX8 drive to the crunch channel of one of the amp. I'll do the tests when I have it. thanks!

yes I have 2 speakers 1x12 very light that I can use with mics
