Seems like there are more questions than answers in that thread. I would encourage you to look at the "Light a Fire...Compressor" thread that was just posted (full disclosure: my thread) and try that with the Filter block. It sounds to me like a lot of people who can't find their compressor groove are looking for the same thing I was.

For pedal Comp settings: Sustain: cranked (or nearly), Attack 1.0ms, Release ~20ms, look ahead ~500ms. The rest don't seem so critical, you can adjust to taste.

If that is all too much, try it without the Filter boost--that amps things up quite a bit.

BTW, country music in Sweden--I've heard that's BIG!
