And there you have the reason why I switched interfaces. I use Slate plugs and now the UADx plugs. I could run a large multi-track session with my M1 barely breaking a sweat.

I love the UAD plugs, but the Apollo was basically a very expense iLok system with a decent interface attached to it. I bought into it, because it was the only way to get high quality plugs. That is no longer the case.

I find my i9 computer runs smoother offloading dsp to my pcie cards and interface. The UADx stuff is cool too. I’d never use a plugin reverb or something that takes a big performance bite off my host cpu. I have outboard for that stuff.

My rme baby face fs is hands down the best I’ve experienced. Bus powered and killer sound and the lower at latency over ever seen.
