Classical guitar recommendation

Hey guys,
I am currently looking at potientially buying a classical guitar to send to a luthier for fretless conversion.

Can any recommend a classic guitar (or brand) for a semi-budget (around 500€/$)?

Preamp and so on are not needed, since I have a decent mic for recording.

I was going to suggest a Godin because I have a 20+ year old CW concert from their old La Patrie brand that has held up really well. (Made from old growth sinker mahogany and spruce recovered from the Great Lakes.) But looking at their current models it looks like an equivalent would come in at around 800 Euros. And they are no longer using the sinker wood as far as I can tell.

The cutaway models all have electronics, but the price difference for with/without the fishman guts is pretty negligible.

I've been pretty happy with my Kremona Verea (single cutaway style). A bit more that you asked ($700 a couple years ago as a new, B-stock), but has good tone and decent fit/finish for the price point.
