Having listened back to the clips I put up yesterday, I definitely think something funky was going on with one of my units, so I performed a factory reset, and dialled the tones back in. Much, much closer now. Not sure how/why that would happen but there we go. I included two from each unit this time.
The reason for this is that I often see people questioning the modelling of the two units, and also see a lot of people claiming component modelling sounds fake vs the reality of a capture.
So... with that in mind, we have four clips here. The same DI track was used for all of them, as was the same Ownhammer Classic Rock 57+121 impulse response. No EQ, no low/high cuts.
We have four "amps" - Fractal's 1959SLP and 100W High and Quad Cortex's Plexi 100 Bright plus a capture of a Marshall 1959HW.
Which do you prefer and why? And can you hear many differences? Can you hear which is the capture and which are the modelling?
