Can this be done with the Axe controllers or modifiers ?

On 5.05 Rothery plays with volume swells, now i use my expressionpedal for it which works fine, but since i never used the auto controls of the axe and the modifiers i would like to know if this is possible.

Tryed some stuff within the volume block but the swell goes back and forward an cannot get it to go up only in a certain tempo..
