Can the MFC 101 send MIDI notes?
I am setting up a large MIDI rig to be controlled by the MFC101 including the Axe-FX, Vocal harmonies and effects plus DMX lighting scenes. It seems that for the lighting side of things, most processors need MIDI notes to be sent. I understand the Behringer footcontroller does send midi notes, but is this possible on the MFC?
My plan is that in SONG mode, I would call up a given song (let's say a slow atmospheric one) it would set the axe-fx easily enough with IAs and a Program Change message; it would call up the correct vocal reverb and delay with a Program Change, and set the key for the harmonies with a CC and it would call up a slow colour fade on my digital lights with a Midi note send. Or alternatively send an appropriate message to Ableton Live (or Cubase) on my laptop which would then call up the relevant lighting scene from there.
It's an ambitious set up, but one which I hope is possible. Has anyone done anything like this or have any ideas?
