Can the FM9 be used like an FC9?

You could use it for midi control via Control Switch midi and the Scene Midi Block. Connected with a midi cable.

No expression pedals, no FASLink, no effect state tracking.

Baaaaah. My idea is/was to use it as a footswitch for home use with my axefxIII then use it full flavored to gig. A firmware update to include some kind of footswitch mode would be immensely valuable. Perhaps it can’t be bus powered this way. Who knows.

The FC is a slave device to the AxeFX master. You’re trying to connect two masters together. That’s why it’s not working.

no doubt. I imagine this COULD be made to work thru a firmware update at some point.

You can do quite a lot with it and a MIDI cable. Scene and preset switching. Control switching. Can't do block channel switching (currently, hoping for an update).
