Can I use SCENES with a Midi Mate?

Hey guys,

I've been loving my Axe-II for the past 2 months, but I really need a foot controller now. I'd love an MFC but for what I do I think it would be total overkill (at least that's what I've been telling myself since I'm poor now and can't afford one).

I'm looking at getting a Midi Mate but I want to make sure I can use SCENES with it. I've been setting up my patches with them and want to make sure I can take advantage of that feature live. Are any of you using scenes with a Midi Mate? If so, does it work well and how do you have your buttons laid out?

I haven't used a Midi Mate but I'm pretty sure you can use scenes with any MIDI controller. You just map "MIDI preset 0" to "Axe-FX II preset 0, scene 1", then "MIDI preset 1" to "Axe-FX II preset 0, scene 2" etc. So the MIDI controller just acts like it is changing a normal preset.

And I didn't get this at first, so the place you map this is in the I/O menu on the Axe-FX itself. So the MIDI controller you just set the presets as normal.
