I am testing the FX8 and while I love it the unit cannot replace my II (which was the original intention). I'm trying to justify keeping it and wondering because it has MIDI I/O could I use it to control the II at bigger shows? The tuner on the FX8 is the same display on the II which I love, I also like the looper integration (although I assume if I'm actually CONTROLLING the II then I'm stuck with the II's looping configuration (less loop time).
Thoughts?
The FX8 would be used for all acoustic gigs (a lot) and then for full band shows I would use the II plus FX8 to control via MIDI. Maybe I should look back to the MFC for what I really need at this point, although one with those nice silent switches is pretty spendy.
