Create this kind of patch in the FX8
I don't have an expression pedal yet, but it doesn't look like he's using one.
Any help appreciated!

 
it's using a controller on a volume block, more than likely. i believe you set it to envelope where your playing opens and closes the pedal. search the forum or read the wiki, i know there are quite a few of these floating around.

also, if you find a preset with an auto swell in it, save that volume block and you can then drop in to any preset you want.

It's the second preset in bank C. As jlynnb1 noted, you can use the blocks from that preset. It's a nice effect.
