Can a Pod Pro work as the interface to record with the AxeFX

I'm looking to order the Axe FX Ultra in the next couple weeks.
In the meantime, I have a Pod Pro that I use to record through the USB connection with.

If I ran the Axe through the effects loop of the Pod do you think it would work
for recording to the laptop?
Or would I use the line in? and just trim down if the signal was too hot from the Axe?

Any suggestions on how to use the Pod as an interface for now until I sell it and
buy another interface or mixer/recorder? On that note, what audio interface is
recommended with stable drivers and low latency?

All helpful comments are appreciated. First post, but avid reader of the forum
and enjoy the insight of the information shared by all.

many thanks

I think there have been a few posts regards using the pod as a recording interface..maybe do a search in the forum.

Definitely get yourself a good interface as soon as you can afford it..its the only way to make really decent
recording and to get the full potential out of the ultra!!

Thank you for the response.

I tried to find some info on it here, I will do another search.

Does there seem to be a general consensus on what brand audio interface
works best for a PC user? I would assume firewire being the method used
regardless of model.

I can't speak for consensus, but I like Presonus and the RME PCI cards.
