Has someone put together a guide to go along with the packs that describes IRs in terms of tone/flavor and also how a different Mike colors it?
I love the fact that we have so many IRs -- but it would be great if there was a tonal guide to go with them -- for example
2x12 Double Verb 57-A (bright)
2x12 Double Verb 121 ((dark/more bass)
Maybe what I am looking for is a grid/spreadsheet that organizes Irs and mikes by sonic characteristics. I think it will make it easier for folks to make better use of IR bundles without having to spend the time randomly selecting/auditioning cabs/IRs.
For folks with little studio experience this will be helpful in at least giving them a visual guide as to where to start when looking for a specific tone/cab to complete a rig.
If I had the expertise I'd be happy to put it together.
In any event -- just a thought.
Thanks
