It would be awesome to have something like this built in to the axe at some point.

Guitar impulse responses can achieve this, sort of. 3 Sigma Audio makes a variety of electric and acoustic guitar impulses. They work well in a pinch for live use, but they don’t really cut it in the studio, in my opinion. But yeah, guitar modeling in the Axe Fx would be pretty awesome!
