Boss GT-10 as a foot controller?

Hi,

I have a Boss GT 10 laying about, am I able to use it as a foot controller for my Axe FX Ultra? I found an older thread about using a GT 6, but nothing about the GT 10. In the older thread someone said the GT 8 is short of CC messages, is this the same in the GT 10? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
 
yes ... you can ! ;)


with Boss GT-10 you can change you presets (with the buttons 1-5 and bank up/down), use the expression pedal as wah/volume control and switch effects on/off with the CTL 1/2 (+ 3/4 with an external buttons)
 
That is great to know! Now the only question is... How? I have just been playing around with my Axe FX and GT 10 connected via MIDI, and I have worked out how to control some functions via MIDI, but others elude me. How do I use the GT 10 to change patches?
I have come to realise just how little I know about MIDI...
 
At the risk of reviving an old thread, I too am very interested in this.

I happen to own a GT-10 and the next thing in budget for me would be a FCB1010. Although, I fear selling the GT-10 for the FCB1010 would barely turn a profit. I think using the GT-10 would be just as good solution.


Otherwise I guess it's a bit of RTFM :)
