AFIII BOSS CE1 match by ear

I've been trying to duplicate my CE1 with the CE2 model.

It's close, but it's not the same, and I don't think I can get it closer.
There seems to be more sustain on the effect of the real thing, and, by lack of technical terminology, some fairy dust that makes the difference between really good and in heaven.

So, I won't be selling the CE1, for studio use, but I'm not going to lug it to gigs either

I think you can get closer. I probably wouldn't use the CE-2. It's not really a CE-1 soundalike. I might use the TAPE CHORUS. If you're feeling like the circuitry of the CE-1 is compressing, don't hesitate to add a compressor block.

Try turning your mix up higher in the Chorus block. That will give you more pitch warble in the chorus sound without increasing the depth of the sweep.

Round two: the Tape didn't work at all, the Analog Mono does. Real close.

I created this on real cabs, and the difference there is less than on the recording.
