Boo Applecare

If they're going to take our money for Applecare, they need to be able to provide the service Applecare says it provides. If they can't do that for 2-3 year old phones, don't sell Applecare for them.

Pretty simple.
That's a pretty hard line - are you saying all the people who might need servicing other than full replacement now have to pay for it, because Apple is temporarily out of a phone?

I'm assuming it's temporary - did you explicitly ask if they were no longer going to be making replacements on that phone? Because if this is a temporary condition, I think you're being unreasonable.

Think what you want.

I just want my daughter to have a phone that works. You'd want that if it was your daughter or your phone.

Every time i think about a Mac Mini for the next generation of my studio, i keep coming back to that. We'll see how this plays out, but grrr.
Well as much I dislike the stupid Mac OS, you can’t beat the value of a Mac mini for audio/video editing type of usage.

Just don’t pay for extended warranty and don’t choose the upper tier versions.

It sounds like a shit situation, but I'm not sure that it's fair to bash them the way you are, given they're out of stock of a 2-3 year old phone.

My M1 macbook pro 16 is getting the logic board replaced for the second time, right now. They're taking a big loss on apple care with me, with no complaints.

As someone else said, I'd be shocked if they didn't take care of you, even if it's not happening as fast as you'd like.

That's true of basically every company across the board, no? And given that the alternative is either Google or Windows, I'll take my chances with Apple. Talk about going down the tubes... Both of those companies are lapping the field. And I'm no Apple fanboy - while I am pretty locked into their ecosystem, when someone else comes out who does what they do better than Apple does, I'll switch in a heartbeat.
I am an Apple guy. You are right. I use Windows at work (sadly), that's it.
