This would be an expansion on the idea of the Block Library in Axe Edit.
With the Block Library feature in Axe Edit, you can save the settings of any block channel or entire block to a file for recall later. A "Block Group" Library could expand this functionality to multiple blocks, their routing, and relative placement on the grid.
Here's a kind of mock up of what I'm talking about.
Step 1: find a group of blocks and routings you want to save. Here's a group of post-effects, an output block, and MIDI block I want to save as a group.
Step 2: right click "Block Group Select" and highlight everything you want to save, then right-click and Save As Block Group
"Ctrl+click" or "Shift+click" to highlight blocks and routes
Save As...
Step 3: in a new patch, find the place where you want to drop your Block Group.
select Block Group Load
Step 4: Block Group loaded into a patch!
You could apply this to whatever you wanted. Pre-effects groups, Post-effects groups, Amp-and-Cab block pairings, or even entire patches saved as Block Groups, which would effectively let you use Block Groups to save and recall template patches without having to devote entire patches to them. What do you think? Would you use a feature like this?
