Blackstar new FRFR cabs

So, a speaker similar to the Celestion F12M-150. We can reasonably assume it's a wideband driver, but not a full-range one.
Which isn't a problem in my opinion.

Does anyone have more information regarding the frequency response?

The ability to adjust the frequency response directly on the amplifier is always a good option.

Interesting!

Blackstar reminds of Nickleback, nobody seems to like them for vague reasons, but they sell a shit-tonne of product 🤣. Love my little 5W Blackstar - this FR could be a winner!

I am not keen on the 3-band EQ on an frfr cab. If I want to adjust that, I'll just do it directly on my FM9.
I don't really see the point tbh, but maybe I am missing something.

I do, however, like that the volume is not hidden on the back like most other frfr's.

Is extremely well priced for the european market. Hopefully they will be available soon.

+1 - seems to be a trend to include that on FR cabs but I don't see why its needed when it can be adjusted more effectively (ie tweaked by scene, preset ...) in the modeller.

Different purpose.
Controls on the FRFR are to adjust on the fly for the room or other "local" situations.
k, but I have that ability within the modeller also (Global EQ which could easily be tweaked at setup time).

The less controls the better for me, on Fr amplification - I'd even get rid of the volume control if I could (like the hi endy audiophile power amps)

On their website they both come up at $799.99 USD.
I got the news from Guitar World website:
With this being Blackstar, prices are pretty affordable. The Artist FR Standard comes in at $399, and the Artist FR Special costs $469. That means if players were to go full Blackstar, they could pair either with the more premium ID:X Floor Three (at $399 apiece) for a versatile modern rig with tube ampresponsivity for comfortably under $1K.

Maybe it's $799.99 USD with Tarrifs...

I wonder how different their current modeling is from the ID60 Core i have as my amps's in the shop amp. I liked it at the time, but i like my Axe 3 better :)
