Hi,
Can anyone suggest a solution to achieving the Lead sound from the 80's band Big Country?
I think it was an old MXR unit that actually created the original effect, but wondered if there's anything similar in the Axe 3 that might come close?
I've been asked to cover a couple of their songs, "Fields of fire" and "In a big country" both of which exhibit this sound (in case any one is unfamiliar).
Rather than spending serious time programming, I wondered if anyone knew a shortcut?
Its actually quite a unique sound and synonymous with the Bagpipe skirl of Scotland. A great sound in my opinion, must have been a real challenge back then to recreate but I think it really sounds fantastic on those records.
If anyone has any suggestions....I would be very thankful.
