Best practise - updating to the new fw and software ?

I'm wondering about a few things,

I'm running windows 7 x64 and the beta 1.9 with fw 10.xx

so I'm ready to jump all over the new awesome upgrades, but I am wondering
about the best order to do things? and also about axe edit, I reckon I should uninstall
the beta 1.9 now since it's not compatible with 11.x and being since the 3.0 has been released.

My question about AE is, do I need to backup anything before upgrading to the 3.0 ?
Do they share the same folder structure?

I was thinking:

1: fractal bot - (backup) and then load the fx 11
2: fractal bot - load the factory presets
3: uninstall the beta AE
4: install the new AE 3.0

can someone please confirm if this is a good way to do it?

That's how I do it.

There's no need to delete 1.9beta editor though. I haven't, zero issues.

They don't have anything to do with each other (1.9beta and v.3). You don't need to do anything related to 1.9beta except not launch it.
