Best MIDI USB interface for Windows 7 x64?

FYI, here's my recent experience...

I went to Sam Ash, and they recommended the Cakewalk UM-1G, which essentially replaces Edirol's UM-1EX. The UM-1G offers Windows 7 drivers -- both 32-bit and 64-bit (http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/Interface/DriverUM.aspx?Prod=UM-1G). So I bought the UM-1G, and at first it seemed to work just fine with the Axe-FX. But I noticed Axe-FX's "MIDI IN" light was constantly and rapidly blinking, which I thought was odd. And when I attempted to audition some User Cabs (IRs) via the AxeChange section of Axe-Edit, the Axe-FX consistently reported Bad Checksum errors. And these symptoms persisted, despite uninstalling & reinstalling the drivers several times. So I did a little more research, and discovered the UM-1G has a SysEx defect confirmed by Cakewalk. For more info, see http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=1852997. To verify this, I setup the UM-1G on a much older computer with Windows XP, and I was able to consistently reproduce the same issue. I then used that older computer's gameport-based MIDI interface with Axe-Edit, and it worked just fine -- including auditioning User Cabs. So in short, that prompted me to return the UM-1G to Sam Ash.

I've since replaced the UM-1G with an M-Audio MIDISPORT 2x2 Anniversary Edition, since only that anniversary edition currently offers Windows 7 drivers for 64-bit (http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=support.drivers&f=1076). And once I installed the driver, it worked flawlessly -- including auditioning User Cabs via Axe-Edit. And unlike the UM-1G, it did not constantly send MIDI data to the Axe-FX ("MIDI IN" only blinked when expected). I haven't yet used it to perform a firmware update on the Axe-FX (already on 9.02), but I imagine that should work as expected, too.
