Best metal and clean packs?

When it arrives just play through the factory presets, they are outstanding and look at the settings to give you ideas to create your own presets. Really no need to buy presets IMHO.

I need some metal presets and I play with my church. So I need the best of both worlds. It came in today. I've ran through all of them. I did find some really great presets. I used to have a kemper and that was easy. Fractal is a different world.

what exactly are you looking for..."metal presets" is pretty broad. An amp, cab, and maybe something like studio reverb so it's not completely dry (and maybe a boost) with any known high gain amp will get you 90% there in stock settings and with a little tweaking of EQ and HP LC

Don’t buy presets - they’re all a waste of money (hot take, I know). Learn to make your own. Wait a week or two to gig it until you’ve thoroughly explored it and learned how to make at least a basic preset with an amp, cab, and some basic effects. Check out Leon Todd videos on YouTube for some inspiration :)

Thank you so much

Just to give you a preset to try out, I don't claim to be anything authentic to a Metallica tone but when I feel like playing through some of their songs I whipped this up in a few minutes. Rhythm and lead and it gets the job done for me. There's so much available to you without needing to buy presets, which if you purchase may or may not work for you and your setup and/or guitar.

I play through various humbucker guitars and studio monitors FWIW

As others have mentioned Leon Todd's (@2112 ) YouTube is a goldmine and his preset library is an absolute gift

If you need specific advice share it here, there's plenty of people more knowledgeable than myself who can help. Welcome to the Fractal World.

I actually have used Marco Fanton presets and love them. Depending on what kind of metal you are looking for. His is a good start for sure and prices are good. Look at the Revv presets for a start. None the less his lengthy videos teach you alot about how to find the sound you are looking for
