Bass synth funk preset

Seems like alot of Janet Jackson music is what I'm looking for 'Go Deep' is one sounds pretty close. Not sure how to attach it to this message.
 
not too complicated that one. compressor > drive > synth > filter

use a mild drive just to even out the dynamics and do some low and high cut

in the synth, use a saw, square and sine. nudge the tuning of the saw and the square +2 cents and -2 cents to fatten it a bit (i can't remember if the ax8 has 2 voices or 3. if only 2, just use saw and square)

for all synth voices, change the shift parameter to -12

set the filter to low pass and roll off some top end

you can control ghost notes and false triggering by setting the input gate relatively high. when messing around with this, i had threshold at -30 and ratio at 3
 
i had a look on axechange and there's nothing. are the directions i've given you too complicated?
