bass sim octive pedal

I have doing some looping and I want to loop a phrase with my acustic for the bassline so I need some sort of bass sim.

I am using the pitch block set to octive divider but am not sure how to make it sound right, it is sounding kind of synthy.

is this the best way to go about it?

The Octave divider is based on normal octave pedal synthesis algorithms not pure pitch shifting (someone might be able to explain this better than me).

Basically use the normal fixed harmony pitch shifter and set it to octave, and then drop the volume to zero on your dry tone. That should do the trick.

One addition, be sure to either set voice 2 level all the way down or set the voice2 pitch to an octave down as well or your tone may sound washed out.
