Basic setup for Logic Pro X

I tried recording today into Logic and could not hear the playback. Silly me didn't place an InUSB block into Axe Edit.

Make sure you're either connected to your Mac via USB or through an audio interface. When you create a new track you need to select "Audio" and set your inputs to 1 or 1&2 (if you're recording stereo) and set outputs to 1 or 1&2. Select "Input Monitoring" and "Record Enable". Finally, select your input and output device.

Nothing. is there some setting in the axe fx im missing? logic can pick up the signal from the axe fx but when I record now there's no sound. FML

Do you see the audio signal in logic (audio trace), if you record something? To me it seems to be an output-select problem from logic, to you monitor channel. What have you selected in: preferences > Audio > "I/O Assignments" -page?
