Axe into iPad II for recording?

I was wondering if any of you are using the ii for recording into the ipad? If so how are you getting your signal into the ipad?

Axe 2 Output to Apogee 100 dollar interface to IPad into GarageBand. 0 latency sounds perfect.

Also tried the headphone out to the apogee. Works great as well.

Not sure how MIDI plays into the audio signal chain. However, IOS 5.1 doesn't currently recognize the Axe-Fx II as a valid USB audio device, so the Axe-Fx II doesn't show up in GB as an input source.

i just got the ipad 3..so would be cool to use it for recording. what did you exactly get from Apogee? Jam?
