That's not the point ..., I just want the sound of that raw plexi to pair w/ IRs and effects of my choice ....

I think the DI captures are way better.

Sorting for Tone Models can be annoying, but capturing my actual tube heads, using the LB-2 as a direct box, sounds and feels amazing. It is a portable version of my actual sound.

Listen to the beginning of the third section where chords are played. With the first device I hear individual notes/strings, the second device is kinda “directionally correct” but it’s more of a continuity from lows to highs - either there’s more saturation or aliasing kicks in, I don’t know

Second device is much more compressed, and the low end just isn’t there

And the reverb in the first device is much more transparent, to me it sounds like a guitar in a cavernous space, with the second device it’s again all mashed up together in some noise like medium

So maybe it’s my personal preference coupled with bad monitoring speaking, but that’s what I typically get from every profiler/capturer, or cheap modeler. Although it’s probably possible to achieve in fractal too, but why would anybody do it?

Well I went back and forth between the two opening clips that have no effects and the gain structures are pretty close. In a mix you are not going to tell or hear that difference. On the other hand Tte EQ differences are apparent even when drenched in verb and delay.

Not exactly ..., based on what I've been able to put together from reading the Wiki there are still quite a few differences between Cliff's Plexis and the way that # 12301 came out of the Marshall factory ....

2. Saturation switch on (ideal)
3. Drive block on (Hard Fuzz)
4. Drive block

Butch gets a great sound out of his. It's hard to say from a video, but I'd say you're pretty close. Sounds like you are on the 12AX7 preamp channel?

Oh Thanks for your help. :D
In the video, I'm using a 2amp block(parallel) to blend the 12ax7 channel (high input) with the ef86 channel (low input).
I'm also connecting a modifier edit to the 12ax7 channel's volume knob to limit the envelope follower to a value of around 2-6. As you can see in the video, when I play softly, the channel volume hovers around 2-3, and when I hit the strings hard, the channel volume moves between 4-6...

Very cool! I run pedals into mine most of the time so I’m not sure your envelope idea would work for, but that is such a cool idea!
