Axe III Spidf Monitor Problem.

Hello awesome Axe comunity,

now I have a little problem with my Axe III and my new monitors.
They do have a spidf input which I‘m using but everything does sound wrong.
The bass is flubby and everything sounds I would say compact and limited.
And here is the strange thing…
When I record in Reaper and when I listen to the recording through these speakers, it just sounds awesome like it should be.
So my guess is that there is something wrong with my spidf configuration.
I did a search on that but I couldn’t find anything.
Thanks and all the best
Sash

Oh I don’t have any XLR cables actually to try if XLR would work. I thought it would just the best to use spidf to avoid another A/D conversation.

I think you'd have to compare the spdif connection to monitors vs analogue connection to monitors to know for sure that it's an spdif issue - playing back through reaper to compare would not necessarily be conclusive imo.

I‘ve got some XLR cables today and I will compare to the spidf connection.
