Axe-GC Pro Phantom Power Question

The GCPro is powered over 5 pin if you use the GCX switcher. Which pins are actually used in the 7 pin scheme from the Axe? All 7, or could you wire up a 5 pin to work correctly?

GC pro can recieve power over pins 1&3 or 6&7.
The GCX powers the GCpro over pins 1&3 . Axe-FX over pins 6&7.
To power the GC pro from the axe-fx you will need a 5 to 7 Pin din midi cable (Rocktron works best.)

I've got the 7-7pin cable already. What I'm wondering is if I was wiring up a cable myself would I only need to wire pins 1,2,3, 6, 7 to make everything work or would it need all 7 pins? Is that making sense?
