See if you can make your sounds work on an FM3. International flights, better off traveling light. The FM9 is not really that light or small. FM3 can fit in a gig bag.

A question to people who have both Axe FX and FM9 ... can you use the FM9 as a foot controller for the Axe FX via FASLINK?

You could set up all the footswitch definitions to drive the Axe FX, with the same (or at least very similar) preset configured in the FM9 ... if the Axe FX ever goes down, you'd have the FM9 as an already in place/on stage backup - you just gotta move the audio cables over. But when everything is working normally, the FM9 is just the foot controller ...

There are workarounds for some stuff, though, using MIDI - and a couple advantages....
