Axe-fx to ART sla-2

1/4 or xlr or does it matter?
Assuming the cables are short, it doesn't matter soundwise. If they are long, go with xlr.
I presume you're going to a guitar cab from the sla2? If so, you've most likely got cab sims turned off.
If you want the option of also being able to send a feed to FOH, the general rule (afaik) is to set up the presets so that sound with cab sims on goes to out1 and without cab sims goes to out2. Then send out2 to the sla2 and out1 to foh. This is explained better than I can in the manual :)

Thanks for the info guys... FOH? :?:

FOH = Front Of House. This is where the mixer often is and it's a long way from the stage. A balanced run is necessary.

Any Sample patches?

I am currently running my Axe with a Verve but I am seriously thinking of purchasing a Power amp (most likely an ART SLA2)

would like to see a simple patch layout for:

1) AXE to SLA2 (should be easy enough turn off cab sims)
2) AXE to SLA2 and Powered monitor (two outputs - main to cab, second to Verve)

Thanks

you should check out some of mark days patches. most of them are used with the art and they have an effects loop block that shoots off to the side just before the cab block. best of both worlds.
