Axe-FX Running slowly

All of a sudden over the past couple of days, my Axe-FX standard has been a bit laggy when moving around the menus.

I keep ending up going past parameters, and going past where I want to be with the value of the parameter.

Any ideas as to why this is happening, and how I can fix it?

I get the same thing. Sometimes it's lightning fast and other times it seems like it's really thinking hard.

It kind of stinks when I'm trying to tweak on the fly between songs.

I've been playing with a new band, and I've been trying to tailor my sounds to having a good over all band sound, and carve the right frequencies between the bass and drums, but when it's falling behind by fingers it gets frustrating, and my sound seems to go downhill quickly when I'm getting frustrated.

When it happens to me it's usually because I'm close to maxing out the CPU.

That is completely normal and expected. Whenever your preset gets so complicated the CPU usage approaches 100% you will experience it. It happens because Cliff gave priority to the audio processing over menu/gui handling in order to prevent audio glitches when cpu usage is high. Remove a block or two and should be back to normal.

CPU usage is like driving...I try to keep it under 90.

That makes a lot of sense guys... I should try to keep that in mind more when I'm creating patches.
