Axe Fx indestructible, no matter how much airport staff tries

Guys... just rent your gear if you fly.
It's that simple.

Call some music shops in the gig location several weeks before your flight and ask them if they have stuff for rental. For an Axe, you can always ask the community to help out. Good thing the Axe allows for easy system dumps and backups via Fractal bot. You can upload your files in a couple of seconds if needed.


... btw, there seems to be a high demand of a community platform where people can offer or request Axes for rental.
Maybe something simple like a database of users where you put in your contact info (email? phone number?) and the location you live in and what model you use (as II and XL are not 100% compatible), then you can just search for a location and find some users that can help out.
Someone has to code this!
 
I am happy that you got you gear in one piece...
My company sells medical imaging systems, using lasers, high precision optics (calibrated to the micron).
Once, the custom/TSA (I don't know) decided to look what's inside the device...
They cracked it open with a crowbar stating from the optical fiber connector!!!
Imagine some guys trying to look inside your Fractal gear using a crowbar and trying to open by forcing the main big knob in the front!
We had all insurances and 'handle with care' extra fees...

It was a few year ago, we learned to avoid some companies for our instruments and learned that they mess with any package until it has some bacteriological danger logo on it :)

because he was flagged in Europe I think he is on that list because of his religion.

Funny in 2013 they banned free speech in Dallas Tx and only allowed specific areas to protest in.

I was there marching for free speech till the federalized sheriffs dept started beating up people including pushing a father too the ground
with his 12 year old daughter on his shoulders.

Excellent point because they are going through peoples belongings and stealing what they want.
While groping peoples children and wives and husbands.. See Denver report of those people being fired.
They were picking out the cute guys to fondle there and they were fired for it.

Its a big joke and the joke is on us.
 
I'm all for any security measures that are actually security measures. Things used to be ridiculously lax. I used to travel for work frequently. I worked on the operating and development environment for testing a number of Naval weapon systems. Circuit cards would be connected to specialized hardware to test equipment. For every circuit card being tested, there had to be an adapter board to mount it to the test equipment. During development these adapter boards were just hand wired by engineers. Some of these boards were necessarily complex and sure looked like things that would warrant closer inspection. Sometimes I traveled with a half dozen of these monstrosities and I would always travel with them in my carry on. Not one time did my carry on bags get inspected. I saw what they saw in the x-ray machine a number of times - they looked suspicious as hell to me and I knew what they were. So while it would have been a hassle to have my bag searched and get asked a bunch of questions, I certainly would have felt more secure knowing that they at least take the time to look at stuff like this.

I will not leave gear on stage after I am done, I have the same fear, so many idiot's who get drunk and have 0 respect for others things. And then there is theft GRRRR.
 
Just downloaded the latest firmware sounds fantastic.

If anything ive said is not the truth ill remove the threads myself

... ahh, theft! I feel your pain. I recently had my brand new 2015 MBP laptop (with all my FAS and 3rd party software, IRs, dumps, etc.) sprout legs and walk away from McCann's pub in the NYC Port Authority (fortunately it was recovered).

Yesterday morning, I had my first jam session (since last year) down the Jersey Shore at a friends house. I packed my Fractal rig in the van the night before, squeezed the van into my garage (2" clearance on either side of the van) and bolted and barricaded the door shut. So, yes, I too love thieves! :D

While I have zero respect for Al Sharpton, you say he's a pimp. I was not aware that he was in the prostitution business. Got any links to articles?

As for traveling without getting groped, just relax and enjoy it. The TSA folks do it all day, they should be good.

This way you can read between the lines and decide.

Meanwhile loving the latest firmware sounds really Great.

Sending the mfc back sometime soon to get the card replaced
or have service re install the latest firmware for that I goofed something
on mine and it wont take now..

guessing it will be flown there and back so ill inspect it when its back and
have faith it makes it here ok.


Maybe it will arrive taken apart...
